PACKAGING REFRESH | KAYEM FOODS

The Monkiewicz family has  been finely crafting Kayem meats since 1909 in Chelsea, Massachusetts. Today, Kayem is beloved throughout the New England region. When LAM was asked to refresh packaging, our challenge was to retain key equities while infusing the brand with a sense of ‘butcher wisdom’ and local pride. Our solution offers a modern sensibility while also conveying a feeling of brand authenticity and craftsmanship. We subtly updated the logo and introduced a butcher knife icon supported by the tagline ‘Family Crafted In Chelsea, Mass.’  We used food photography and a containing device reminiscent of a butcher’s ticket to differentiate SKUs.
